Here are the full sized photos that I am using in the header section of this website. I think these photos are quite good. After all, I did take them myself! Perhaps I'm a bit biased?
Anyways, I took all of the photos with a Canon PowerShot A80. It's a 4 megapix point-n-shoot. I have found it to be super easy to use and capable of taking some very good photos.
One thing that I have always tried to stress with clients is the importance of having high quality images on their sites. I know having a professional photographer take photos for a site can be very expensive. It's definitely worth it 99 times out of 100. I just can't stress this enough!

I took this photo of a Drangonfly at a party outdoors. I wanted to get a really closeup shot, but figured it would fly off as soon as I got near it. For some reason, it stuck around at the party all morning. The white thingy, that it is sitting on, is some ribbon that the balloons were tied to.

This is a sunflower we had growing in our backyard garden. I went out early one Sunday morning and took this shot. The great thing about taking morning shots is the sun. You get that classic golden light that makes everything look wonderful. Notice the dew on the leaves.

This is a Desert Rose bloom. We had purchased the plant just a short time before I took this photo. The colors don't even look real to me! This was a hard shot because of a depth of field problem. Parts of it are just not in focus like I would like. I don't seem to be smart enough to know how to change the aperture(?) to get a better depth of field.

Another morning shot. I just love the glow that everything is given from the rising sun. Also, since the sun kicks up dust during the day I find that morning shots are much more clear. This location is the main gate to St. Augustine, Florida. I stitched together 2 images to create this photo.

Not much to say about this one, morning light, gotta love it. Location: a cemetery in St. Augustine, Florida.

This is a County Park pathway that I took a shot of in April. Hence the spring green everywhere. Certainly nothing fancy, but I like the look a lot. A tunnel of green.
